Police surveillance cameras have been installed on the main streets of Theni and brought under police protection. The CCTV cameras installed in the areas around Theni are very modern. This CCTV camera is monitored 24 hours a day at Theni, Allinagaram, PCBatty stations and at the DSP Office, SP Office Nehru Statue Umbrella to monitor the recordings. Mr. M. Balsudhar DSP said that on the orders of the Theni District Superintendent of Police, the CCTV camera was installed in Theni to monitor two-wheeler drivers and bike racers, high-speed bike and car drivers, suspects and traffic jams while talking on cell phones.
