
HABITUAL OFFENDERS ARRESTS FOR DRUG TRAFFICKING AND ROBBERY CASES BY TAMBARAM CITY POLICE
The Guduvanchery Police team, conducted a vehicle check near Thailavaram Junction, on 01.11.2025, at about 14.15 hrs., intercepted a car bearing Regd No. KL 01 CC 6955, on suspicion and checked the car, found a bag which contains 2 kgs of Ganja and 3 iron knives.
Subsequently, the team seized the said contraband, weapons, a Maruti Baleno car & 2 Mobile Phones and arrested 1) Ashok @ Sticker Ashok, A/25, S/o Selvam, No.7, New Street, Thailavaram, Guduvanchery, 2) Muneeswaran @ Saman, A/ 22, S/o Nagu, No.27, D.S. Nagar, 2nd Street, Otteri, Vandalur, 3) Santhosh, A/25, S/o Dilli Babu, No.2/389, Kiramani Street, Pallanchery, Kundrathur.
In this regard a case has been registered in T8, Guduvanchery Police Station Cr.no. 268/2025 u/s 8(c), 20(b)(ii) (C)29(1) NDPS Act., & 25 (1A) Arms Act., and taken up for investigation. Investigation revealed that, all the 3 accused are habitual offenders involved in multiple criminal cases, accused 1) Ashok @ Sticker Ashok has a record of 8 previous cases, 2) Muneeswaran @ Saman involved in 4 cases, and 3) Santhosh involved in 5 cases.
Out of three “Ashok @ Sticker Ashok and Suman @ Muneshwaran are history-sheeted rowdies, vide H.S. No. 03/25 Β’ Cat., of Guduvanchery P.S and H.S. No. 09/24 ‘A’ Cat., of Otteri PS”, respectively.
Similarly, on 31.10.2025, at about 07:45 PM, a robbery occurred at Devar Scrap metal Shop on Madambakkam Main Road. The accused, armed with a knife, threatened and assaulted the victim, Subramani, A/57, and robbed of Rs. 1,500/- from him.
In this regard, a case was registered at T-10, Manimangalam Police Station, Cr.No. 417/2025 u/s 126 (2), 296 (b), 309 (4), 311, 109 (1), 351 (3) BNS., and taken up for investigation.
During investigation, the accused “Poochi” alias Rathinasabapathi, A/30, S/o Sugumar, Mariyamman Kovil Street, Kattankolathur was arrested. He is a history sheeted rowdy vide HS. No. 18/2020, ‘B’ category in T10, Maraimalai Nagar, PS., and was involved in 16 previous criminal cases.
All the 4 accused will be produced before the judicial Magistrates concerned and send to judicial custody.
