An order under section 41 and 41(A) of Tamil Nadu City Police Act 1888, is promulgated prohibiting holding of any procession, demonstration, or taking part in any drill, training or assembly with arms or in uniform resembling that of Armed Forces of the Union or Police whether in a public or private place and assembling of general public at public places as to avert the spread of corona virus, within the City of Madurai for a period of 15 days commencing from 1000 hours on 16.01.2022 and ending with 1000 hours on 31.01.2022 (both days inclusive). All assemblies, processions, demonstrations and meetings etc. in any street, road thoroughfare or other public place within the city of Madurai are hereby prohibited during the period.
- However, all intending applicants should apply for permissions etc. five days in advance and failure to do so will result in rejection of the same.
