DGP Silenthrababu advises to eat sugarcane throughout the month during Pongal
Participating in the Pongal festival in Avadi, Tamil Nadu DGP Silendra Babu advised people to buy and eat sugarcane not only on Pongal but throughout the month.
A special Pongal festival was celebrated yesterday at the Tamil Nadu Special Police Training Squad Second Squadron premises in Avadi
The ceremony was attended by the police and their families who enthusiastically celebrated Pongal with competitions including tug-of-war
As the special guest, the DGP of Tamil Nadu, Silenthrababu participated and planted a tree on the premises and presented prizes to the winners of the nut competitions. Pongal is a festival of farmers who feed us and produce a lot of sugarcane. So not only today but throughout this month everyone should buy and eat sugarcane.
