பாதுகாப்பான நகரத் திட்டங்களின் ( நிர்பயாநிதி ) கீழ் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்களுக்கு காவல் ஆணையரகத்தில் ஆலோசனை மற்றும் உதவி மையத்தை சென்னை பெருநகர காவல் ஆணையாளர் திறந்து வைத்தார்.

Establishing Counselling Centre for Women Victims under Safe City Projects ( Nirbhaya Fund ) at Police Commissionerate today on 23.07.2021.

சென்னை பெருநகரிலுள்ள பொது இடங்களில் பெண்கள் பாதுகாப்பு முன்னிட்டு ” பாதுகாப்பான நகரத் திட்டங்கள் ” ( Safe City Projects ) அமல்படுத்தப்படுகிறது . இத்திட்டத்திற்கு மத்திய மற்றும் மாநில அரசுகள் 60:40 விகிதாசாரப்படி தேவையான நிதி ஒதுக்கீடு செய்துள்ளது. இத்திட்டத்தின் ஒரு பகுதியாக பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்களுக்கு ஆலோசனை வழங்கும் பொருட்டு ” நிர்பயா பெண்களுக்கான ஆலோசனை மற்றும் உதவி மையம் ” ஒன்று சென்னை பெருநகரக் காவல் ஆணையாளர் அலுவலகத்தில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது .
பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்களுக்கு பலனளிக்கும் வகையில் சிறப்பான ஆலோசனை வழங்கும் பொருட்டு சமூக ஆலோசகர் , சட்டரீதியான ஆலோசகர் மற்றும் குழந்தை மனநல ஆலோசகர் என இப்பிரிவில் மூன்று ஆலோசகர்கள் மேலும் ஒரு வரவேற்பாளர் என நான்கு பேர்கள் சமூக நலகுழுமம் ( வாரியம் ) மூலம் முறையாக தேர்வு செய்யப்பட்டு மேற்குறித்த ஆலோசனை மையத்தில் பணியமர்த்தப்பட்டுள்ளனர். இந்த ஆலோசனை மையம் சென்னை பெருநகரக் காவல் ஆணையாளர் திரு.சங்கர் ஜிவால், இ.கா.ப., அவர்களால் 23.07.2021 அன்று திறந்து வைக்கப்பட்டது. திரு . ஷம்புகலோலிகர் , இ.ஆ.ப. , அரசு முதன்மைச் செயலாளர், சமூக நலத்துறை மற்றும் திருமதி. ரத்னா, இ.ஆ.ப., இயக்குநர் சமூக நலம் மற்றும் பெண்கள் மேம்பாட்டுத்துறை ஆகியோர் இந்நிகழ்ச்சியில் கலந்து கொண்டனர்.
சென்னை பெருநகர அனைத்து மகளிர் காவல் நிலையத்தில் புகார் செய்கிற குடும்ப வன்முறை, வரதட்சணை போன்று பாதிக்கப்பட்ட பெண்கள் ( 18 வயது மற்றும் அதற்கு மேற்பட்டோர் மற்றும் பெண்கள் உதவி எண் 181 ( Help Line ) மூலம் புகார் தெரிவிக்கும் பெண்கள் மட்டும் மேற்குறித்த ஆலோசனை மையத்திற்கு அழைத்து வரப்பட்டு பயிற்சி பெற்ற இந்த சிறப்பு ஆலோசகர்கள் மூலம் தகுந்த ஆலோசனைகள் வழங்கப்படும் .

The Safe City Projects for Women Safety in public places in Chennai City under Nirbhaya scheme is implemented in Greater Chennai Police. The Central and State Governments have allotted adequate funds at 60:40 ratio for effective implementation of the projects. Providing Counselling Centre for Women victims is one of the projects envisaged under Safe City Projects. Accordingly, a “Nirbhaya Specialized Counselling and Support Centrefor Women”is established at the Office of the Commissioner of Police, Vepery, Chennai-07 with complete infrastructure. For which, 3 specialized Counsellors for Social Counselling, Legal Counselling and Child Psychological Counselling and also one IT staff / Receptionist have been recruited through Social Welfare Board.
Tr.Shankar Jiwal, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Greater Chennai Police, inaugurated the said Counselling Centre on 23.07.2021. Tr.Shambhu Kallolikar, IAS., Principal Secretary to Government, Social Welfare Department and Tmt.Rathna, IAS., Director, Social Welfare and Women Empowerment also participated in the function. Counselee were also present. The complainants (of the age of 18 and above) who prefer complaint regarding domestic violence, abuse, dowry harassment etc., in their respective jurisdictional All Women Police Station (AWPS), Greater Chennai Police and through 181 call centre / helpline will be provided counselling at this centre as per their requirement.
